Trademark attorney from our law firm, Mrs. Beata Wojtkowska, participated in the annual conference concerning trade marks and designs, organized by the ERA (Florence Hartmann-Vareilles) with the support of OHIM (Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market).
The aim of the conference was to analyze case law in the scope of Community law, with particular emphasis on issues such as: unanimous protection Community trademarks, the advertising function of trademarks and their use on the Internet.

On 12^th – 15^th October, 2011 Ms Agnieszka Matusik, Attorney at Law and an Associate at Kulikowska & Kulikowski participated in the 83rd Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group conference in Prague (Czech Republic). The PTMG conference leading topic were pharmaceutical trademarks in a shrinking world. During the conference were also discussed current issues relating to legal protection of trademarks in various countries. The PTMG has a wide offer of lectures and visitors activities.

Paweł Kulikowski, Attorney at Law and Trademark Attorney, represented our law firm in annual conference organized by MARQUES – Association of European Trade Mark Owners.

An impact of the global financial crisis on the strategy adapted by the owners for the choice, protection and promotion of their brands as well as how they are perceived by the public was a much debated issue. 

Also an interesting aspect examined during a number of lectures was the development of social network as well as benefits and risks which the entrepreneurs and their trade marks may face in this respect.
